For localization the algorithm we use is actually Monte Carlo Markov
Localization... which is usually called MCL. You could say that Monte
Carlo is the first name and Markov is the last name (or maybe it'd be
the other way around...).
For path planning we use value iteration for searching and the dynamic
window approach for path following.
